Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ezekiel Elliott said he was excited to be drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.
The rookie wideout was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Elliott said it was a big moment.
“You’re really happy when you get drafted,” Elliott said.
“It was really, really cool to get drafted.
You’re just excited.
Elliott is the second player in NFL history to be selected first overall. “
To be able to be with your teammates, the guys that are there with you, to have a chance to play for a team that has always been a part of your family and your life, it was really special.”
Elliott is the second player in NFL history to be selected first overall.
In 2008, the Cowboys selected linebacker Nick Fairley second overall.
Elliott also has a number of other NFL honors, including the All-Pro selection as a member of the 2017 Cowboys squad.
